You’re probably saying to yourself, “Well don’t all repair shops have trained mechanics?  Doesn’t that place down the street advertise having ASE certified mechanics?” Well let’s briefly examine what ASE certified means.  In a nutshell it means that a mechanic takes courses at a local college or community college and takes a test. General Motors recently debuted the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, a small SUV that is sized between the larger Equinox and the smaller Trax. Humble Origins Runde Auto Group's long storied history dates back to the year 1927, which is why many current Runde advertisements read "Runde Auto Group since 1927".   The origins of the Runde Auto Group are quite humble and can be traced back to the day Alfred Runde founded the East Dubuque Garage in earnest close to a century ago.  Alfred C. Runde (1897-1972) was born into the household of August Runde (1866-1941) and Louisa Manemann Runde (1874-1952).  He was the second oldest of 10 children.  His nine siblings in order from oldest to youngest were Lucy, Robert, Mabel, Earl, Emily, Louis, Carl, Mildred, and Oliver.    The Runde kids grew up in the Township of Hazel Green in Grant County and Alfred’s father and mother farmed for a living in nearby Sinsinawa, WI for nearly 45 years.  Alfred married Irene Cecelia Cullen at St. Mary’s Church in East Dubuque in 1927.  The East Dubuque Garage That same year, he also founded the East Dubuque Garage (which would later become Run [...]

The all-new Ford Ranger has landed at Runde Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Manchester, IA! Our Runde employee, Joe Gourley, was on location at the Chicago Auto Show on Friday!   Here are some pictures from his visit. The Chicago Auto Show takes place in the McCormick Place civic center on the southern portion of Downtown Chicago near Soldier Field and the Field Museum. The Auto Show features domestic & import cars, trucks, SUV’s and vans as will as not-yet-released concept cars. In all, approximately 900-1000 different vehicles are displayed at this event annually. It’s a great place to take your family, but remember that the best time to go is early in the morning on weekdays. If you go on a weekend, you can expect to see tons of people there and lines for some exhibits can be extremely long. So try go early on weekdays, if possible, to avoid the large crowds.
