Nate Elder:  Manager of the Runde Reconditioning Department   Some people collect photographs to remember specific moments in their lives. Nate Elder, reconditioning manager at Runde PreDriven, collects shoes. He has about 25 boxes of unopened shoes in his closet at home right now – some have been there for years. “Each one has a story and a memory attached to it,” Nate said. “I have a pair that I bought in 2003, that’s one of my older pairs.” He recently opened a pair of DC Pure XEs because he had worn out the DC Mikey Moes he had been wearing. Rodney Coohey got his 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500 single-real-wheel 4WD Double Cab LT from Runde Chevrolet in 2014. Fast forward 210,000 miles (and counting!), and it is still running as good as new. He has done almost exclusively routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, new tires, and one air filter on the vehicle. The Dubuque Speedway was busy as usual last weekend.  Basically everyone and their dads were there over the Father’s Day weekend.   However this Father’s Day was extra special for Terry and Wes Digman!   Wes, a service consultant at Runde PreDriven, got his first win in the Sport Mod Class at the Dubuque Speedway Races on Sunday. “It was pretty huge for my team,” Wes said. “We’ve been so close for so many years and we finally did it.” His father, Terry, helps the team each week and was proud to see his son’s first win on Father’s Day. “He was pretty worked up by the time he got down there with me,” Wes said. Rob Biggin remembers when he got his first vehicle – a Chevrolet Beretta from Runde PreDriven – in the early 1990s. 1. Check your Lights before driving at night. Darkness is definitely not your friend – despite everything we’ve heard from Simon and Garfunkel. It’s very important to make sure that the headlight bulbs you are using to tear through that darkness is effective. Check all of your lights for clarity and proper functionality – head, tail, braking, turn, fog… the whole nine yards.  Slap on those hazards, get out and see if all your lights are flashing correctly. If you are without friend/human companion you can check to make sure your brake lights are working by backing up towards a reflective surface (building, window, etc.) and see if you can see your brake lights in the reflection. You may also consider getting your headlights properly aimed. Diana, Robert and little Poco Hedtke just purchased a Chevy Silverado diesel truck from Runde Chevrolet.  They recently moved back from Thailand after doing missionary work for 3 years and were in need of a newer truck.
