The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV made its debut during the NCAA’s Final Four telecast recently. The vehicle boasts many of the features of the Hummer EV pickup, but in an SUV body.   “The GMC Hummer EVs were envisioned to be the most capable and compelling electric supertrucks ever,” said Duncan Aldred, global vice president of Buick and GMC. “The new Hummer EV SUV is the next chapter, which will offer many options for customers to tailor the truck to their lifestyles, while continuing to encourage them to forge new paths with zero emissions.” Edition 1 will start at $105,595 (or $110,595 with the available Extreme Off-Road Pack) and will have an expected 300 miles on a full charge (280 with the off-road package). Remember the Hummer? Introduced back in 1992, it was a gas-guzzling machine. Its successor, the first-ever GMC Hummer EV pickup is set to be quite the opposite. Running only on electricity, the GMC Hummer EV SUT will have 1,000 horsepower, 11,50 lb-ft of torque, go 0-60 mph in 3 seconds, and offer exceptional off-road ability. It will be revealed on May 20 with a livestream on gmc.com, which will also introduce the vehicle’s engine specifications and price. GMC recently revealed the first-ever GMC Sierra AT4! While it is an off-road capable vehicle, the AT4 still has the refinement and technologies GMC is known for, making it ideal for both the open road and an off-road adventure. “The AT4 brings new levels of refinement and innovative technology — a formula that no one else in the industry currently delivers,” said Alan Batey, EVP and President of GM North America, in the vehicle’s reveal video. The exterior of the vehicle is based on the next generation 2019 GMC Sierra, with tweaks including body color front and rear bumpers and grille surround, black chrome throughout, high gloss black finish on the window trim and mirror caps, and a few touches of red to complete the look.

The all-new 2019 GMC Sierra was revealed on Facebook Live this week! It is re-designed inside and out and has plenty of new features, including: The GMC-exclusive, industry-first MultiPro Tailgate: It has six unique functions offering enhanced second-tier loading and load-stop solutions, a standing workstation, and easier access to items in the box. Standard on SLT and Denali, the MultiPro Tailgate also incorporates a step entry and egress mode that, when paired with the assist handle, can be used as both a step and a seat. Yesterday, GMC revealed the all-new GMC Terrain on Facebook Live at the Detroit Auto Show. The 5-passenger crossover SUV will have three available turbocharged engines: 1.5L and 2L gas engines, and a 1.6L turbo diesel.  It has a whole new look with C-shaped signature LED lighting an aerodynamic, muscular stance. You might not recognize the new GMC Acadia!  The re-designed Acadia offers drivers and passengers a fresh look with plenty of new features. “The new Acadia captures a greater feeling of refinement, in everything from the responsive feeling behind the wheel to the way passengers interact with its intuitive features,” said Rick Spina, executive chief engineer for compact and crossover SUVs at General Motors, in a press release. “It’s a vehicle that offers the functionality Acadia is known for, while delivering big advantages and balance to customers’ everyday lives.” The midsize crossover is a convenient size between the compact Terrain and the full-size Yukon. The new Acadia is 700 pounds lighter and offers 28 mpg highway/22 mpg city (on 2.5L engine with FWD). You can choose from three models: Acadia, Acadia All-Terrain, or Acadia Denali.

Today’s results from the JD Power and Associates 2013 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) show just how much GM has improved in long-term reliability and durability. The Vehicle Dependability Study focuses on problems customers experienced in the past 12 months with three-year old vehicles. This year’s study was based on feedback from 37,000 owners of 2010 model year vehicles.  J.D. Power measures overall dependability by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles. The lower the PPH score, the higher the dependability. Highlights of the 2013 VDS include: Four segment award winners: Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra HD and Buick Lucerne Seven additional GM vehicles scored in the top three in their segments GM had the lowest rate of component replacement (e.g., batteries, switches, etc.) From an owner loyalty perspective, J.D. The operations will combine with those of our Cuba City Buick location and all employees from that location will remain with us in Platteville.  Most of the employees from the Mound View operation will be retained as well.
