Major automakers are funneling millions of dollars into building electric vehicles and an infrastructure to charge them. But many drivers are still hesitant to make the switch from the traditional gas-powered vehicles they have driven all their lives to a battery-powered ride. They have questions about range, charging, and driving long distances, as well as confusion about EV concepts like regen paddles, one-pedal driving, and more. Who better to ask these questions, than electric vehicle owners themselves? In this series, we will be sharing the experiences of Runde customers who have made the transition to an EV. Meet Jared Puls, of East Dubuque, who bought his first-ever electric vehicle a few months ago when he joined [...]
2022 Bolt EV
The all-new 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV recently made its debut alongside the re-designed 2022 Bolt EV – both of which are part of GM’s goal to launch 30 new EVs globally by 2025. “We want to put everyone in an EV and the new Bolt EUV and redesigned Bolt EV are crucial to doing so,” said GM President Mark Reuss, in a press release. “Together, they enable mainstream customers to be part of our vison of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.” To do so, they have lowered the base price of the Bolt EV by more than $5,000 from the 2021 model and have simplified the charging process. The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV 1LT starting MSRP is $31,995. A new Dual Level Charge Cord will, for some customers, eliminate the need to purchase a separate charger for their home. It has a changeable plug that allows the customer to plug into a standard [...]

Want a good indication that the future is here? How about the fact that the products currently in the works make the things that we could have only imagined “to be the future” look primitive and obsolete?   The EN-V Prototype (Electric Networked-Vehicle) manufactured by General Motors plans to be hitting the streets as the new “Urban Mobility Vehicle” (think along the lines of a Segway, but not nearly as basic and lame). Tired? Drunk? Hurt or just lazy? The EN-V has you covered as it works autonomously, meaning that it can drive itself with the integrated GPS. In addition to an array of safety features and smart programming for heavy traffic, sudden reaction sensing, and the like,  the EN-V is an electric vehicle. It will plug into a [...]
