The Blazer is back! The first all-new Chevy Blazer has landed at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL and it is a STUNNER. Many people in the Dubuque area remember the last generation of the Chevy S-10 Blazer.  It was such a nice-riding vehicle with a quality build.  The exterior was definitely sharp-looking and the interior had seats that were placed lower to the floor than other SUV’s from that time so it often gave owners the feel like they were driving a car.  Of course they still had the comfort of knowing that they were riding around in a fully-capable frame-on-body 4-wheel-drive vehicle and Dubuque Chevrolet owners very much appreciated that in regards to the Blazer because they knew they could navigate the hills and valleys of Dubuque [...]
Dubuque business owner, Eddie Severns, of Dubuque picked up a new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Dbl Cab today at Runde Chevrolet! Eddie co-owns RF2 Furniture Warehouse with his wife Rebecca.  They plan to use his truck for hauling small items for their Dubuque business. He was pleased with the price he was able to get at Runde Auto Group. “When you open a small business, every dollar counts,” he said. RF2 Furniture Warehouse, located at 900 Jackson Street, Suite 112 in Dubuque, features furniture, home decorations, and home accent pieces. They opened about a year and a half ago. “We are a Dubuque business situated in the Millwork District,” he said. “There are a lot of cool things happening over there.” Eddie liked the white color of his new truck, as [...]
Nathan Miller, his younger brother Matt Miller, and their father Dan Miller are all driving new Chevy Cruze sedans from Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, Illinois. They all decided to lease new vehicles from salesperson John Riley in the last 10 days. “It all started when my younger brother’s timing chain broke on his Chevy Cavalier in the driveway,” Nathan said. Matt shopped around and ended up leasing a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1LT from John Riley at Runde Auto Group. Then it was a domino effect: Dan leased a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1LT, and since the water pump on Nathan’s 1999 Honda Civic needs to be replaced, he decided to lease a 2015 Cruze Eco. Nathan likes the looks of the Cruze, [...]
Ellen H. from Dubuque, IA purchased a New Chevy Equinox earlier this week.  Actually she was not expecting to be in the market for a vehicle yet. “Normally when I buy a car, I’ve thought about it ahead a lot and I really hadn’t because I wasn’t going to do it until maybe next fall or going into next winter,” she said. But when she was in an accident last week, she needed a new vehicle — and fast. Runde Auto Group’s large inventory made it easy for her to get what she wanted. “I’ve had a good experience,” she said. Ellen picked up her new Chevy Equinox FWD 1LT earlier this week at Runde Chevrolet just across the river from Dubuque. “A friend had one and I [...]

Today’s results from the JD Power and Associates 2013 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) show just how much GM has improved in long-term reliability and durability. The Vehicle Dependability Study focuses on problems customers experienced in the past 12 months with three-year old vehicles. This year’s study was based on feedback from 37,000 owners of 2010 model year vehicles.  J.D. Power measures overall dependability by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles. The lower the PPH score, the higher the dependability. Highlights of the 2013 VDS include: Four segment award winners: Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra HD and Buick Lucerne Seven additional GM vehicles scored in the top three in their segments GM had the lowest rate of component replacement (e.g., batteries, switches, etc.) From an owner loyalty perspective, J.D. Power found that 54 percent of customers who experienced no vehicle problems stayed loyal to the brand. This number drops to 41 [...]
If you noticed fireworks lighting up the western skies this past Friday, what you were probably witnessing was part of the festivities for the Annual Peosta Parade and Fun Day.   The sixth annual Peosta Days event was held in conjunction with the Annual Fireman’s Auction and the extravaganza promised something for kids of all ages. Friday’s events included the brilliant fireworks, skydivers, good food & drinks and live music featuring the band Hard Salami. On Saturday, the Peosta Days Parade took place and Doug Weig and his wife Angela were able to get some great shots of the Runde Chevrolet truck they drove in the parade.  It started at Mi-T-M and it ended up at the Peosta Rec Center. Doug said that it was a good time for everyone.   But the most intriguing event was one that I had never heard of … Cow Pie Bingo.  Doug said that he wanted to play, but it [...]

The Mark of Excellence is the original name of the logo for the GM Corporation. It was first used by GM in 1966 and the logo originally included the phrase “Mark of Excellence” at the bottom. It was initially installed on the door jambs of GM vehicles. Some of us older folks might recall that the logo also was also stamped on the release buttons of seat belt buckles in GM vehicles until the mid-1990s. The “Mark of Excellence” is also an award. Runde Chevrolet was presented with this award just last week for their sales and customer satisfaction results again. Runde Chevrolet has won this award numerous times, however GM keeps raising the bar and winning the award thus becomes more of a challenge with the passing of each year. GM representatives were on hand [...]
