Brian Hansen, better known as “Chopper,” was all smiles today when he left Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque! He scored a great deal on a 2017 Chevy Equinox Premier AWD from salesperson Corissa Frederick. Plus, he was Corissa’s first sale! “She was a great gal to work with,” Brian said. “Corissa’s the bomb.” Brian, who lives in East Dubuque, called a few days ago to inquire about how spacious the Equinox was. “I’ve always driven Chevy’s,” he said. “I like dealing with Runde’s and I heard good things about the Equinox. I liked that it had a six-cylinder and I love the interior.” When he isn’t in his daily driver, Brian ‘Chopper’ Hansen loves riding his motorcycle, a 2017 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Special. He works at the Rock [...]
Lacey Diehl is originally from Lansing, IA and now lives in Dubuque, IA with her husband, Josh. These newlyweds, just tied the knot last month! Ready for a new vehicle for their endeavors and a potential future family, the Diehl’s came into Runde’s and left with a gorgeous preowned Chevy Equinox! What vehicle did you end up purchasing? A preowned Chevy Equinox. Was this vehicle for you or was it for your husband? More-so for me, and we’re getting ready to start having kids in the future so we thought this would be a nice starter vehicle. How was your overall experience at Runde’s and with your salesman, Jake Meyer? I thought it was absolutely amazing. He didn’t pressure us or give us a line of “bull”. We went to another local dealership and the salesmen over there were really pushy and trying to convince us to get things we didn’t want. Jake let [...]
Joanne Helms of Mineral Point, WI came in to Runde PreDriven in Hazel Green today to buy a vehicle with her son-in-law, Rob Busser, who was there to assist her. Joanne is a coffee shop aficionado and loves her new Equinox. See what Joanne and Dave are saying about their experience at Runde’s and how small town gossip can lead to big time satisfaction. What led you into Runde’s? I know my sister-in-law bought a car from here a number of years ago and I’ve been hearing good things lately from more and more people buying and talking about Runde’s from where I’m from. What area are you from? I’m from Mineral Point, WI. Which has a population of about 3000 people. I go to [...]

Mike Lawler worked for Runde’s full-time while he went to East Dubuque high school. After graduating, Mike went off to college, but he still comes back to work here when he comes back home. While Mike was here for the Thanksgiving weekend, we took a few minutes to chat with him and find out what college life is like. RAC: Where are you going to college? ML: Western Illinois University — It’s about two and a half hours away. RAC: And do you have your own car? ML: Yeah, a 2000 Cavalier Z24. RAC: Nice. Aluminum wheels? Air Conditioning? Cruise Control? ML: Yes sir. RAC: Sounds like a great car! Do you like college so far? You’re going to the school in Macomb, IL right? ML: Yeah the school’s nice. Macomb’s a smaller town – I think it’s about 20,000 people. RAC: Runde’s sells a lot of vehicles to people from Macomb. Do you [...]
According to the title, this blog post is about fuel cell vehicles. Not sure what they are? Ok. Fine, then let’s start with a conversational detour. Ever wish someone would walk up to you and hand you the keys to a new vehicle? The closest I’ve ever come to hearing about something like this, I previously mentioned when I wrote the anecdote about Doug in our Field of Dreams blog post last year. There’s also that scene from Pay it Forward, where some guy hands Jay Mohr the keys to his new Jaguar S-Type car in an effort to … you guessed it … pay it forward. I was looking at GM’s Project Driveway a little today and I checked it out to see if I might qualify to drive a new state-of-the-art Chevy Equinox fuel cell vehicle. Project Driveway is the first large-scale market test of fuel cell vehicles with real drivers in [...]
