Dubuque has long been an Iowa river town that loves their new Buicks.  I can remember riding my bike on South Grandview Avenue as a kid seeing all the Buick cars parked in the driveways of the big houses.  Back in the 1970's, 80's, and 90s Grandview was the posh part of Dubuque and having a Buick parked in front of your house meant that you were doing well financially ...  well enough to be able to afford a new luxury brand car.  Park Avenues, LeSabres, and of course my favorite - the Roadmaster wagon with the 350 V-8 engine.  Back during that time, there was really only one Dubuque area Buick dealer for customers to choose from.
