Are you a book lover? How about a Buick owner? If you answered yes and yes, you’ll love this: Buick recently partnered with the media company Hello Sunshine to bring Reese Witherspoon’s popular book club “Reese’s Book Club” directly to your Buick’s infotainment screen. The built-in app allows drivers to select from a specially curated collection of podcasts and audiobooks, all categorized by genre, at the touch of a button. “We’re thrilled to partner with Buick on this exciting new venture,” said Hello Sunshine CEO Sarah Harden, in a press release. “Reese’s Book Club is driven by a powerful community who appreciate authentic, quality storytelling, and we’re excited to further expand this community with Buick.” It is now [...]
I haven’t seen the Ellen Show in ages, and I must admit that her show is quite amusing. She’s a natural entertainer along the lines of Jerry Springer, but her show itself is more comparable to the Oprah show in nature … Oprah-lite if you will. I ran across this on the net and thought it was kind of cool … Last week Ellen decided to give away a new 2011 Buick Regal to one of her loyal viewers. However, like most of the segments on the Ellen show, she decided to have a little fun with it first. Now I realize that not everyone will receive a free Regal in this lifetime. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t get one the old fashion way. Runde’s in Platteville, WI currently has a good selection of 2011 Buick Regal sedans in stock that you can view 24/7 at www.RundeAutoGroup.com

Ed Whitacre, the CEO of General Motors, announced that GM has paid back all of the borrowed money in full to the government with interest. This gigantic announcement demonstrates a level of confidence within the company that has surfaced mainly due to a slimmed down product line, a more refined company focus, and exciting new products like the Chevy Equinox, the Chevy Camaro, and the Buick LaCrosse that are selling almost as quickly as they arrive on dealers’ lots. With this move, they are basically saying that they wholeheartedly believe GM is now on the right track to profitability. And here at Runde Auto Group, we know without-a-doubt that GM is back on track and ready for the road ahead. The tank is full, the engine is humming, and the GPS is set … Destination … Success. It’s full speed ahead for Chevrolet, Buick and GMC.
For those of you who think that social media is just a fad that will disappear in the years to come, well … uhhh … you might have another thing coming. In the car business you often get a mixture of old school thought vs. new school. Yesterday, this really seemed really apparent when we asked one of our senior salesmen to help provide us with a customer of his that we could interview for the blog. His response was: “No. Actually, I can’t wait ’til that thing (the blog) goes away.” In the past couple years, social media has become what it is and at Runde’s we have tried to embrace it for the positive. We run a good business and word of mouth has always been one of the cheapest and best forms of advertising. So we figure, we’ll interview customers and ask them what they thought of their experience at Runde’s. It’s [...]

We give you two of Runde’s newest customers: The Sefziks recently purchased a great new car from Runde Auto Group. We had the chance to sit down and chat with them for a spell the day they signed the papers for their new LeSabre. Where are you originally from? Epworth/Dubuque. What kind of vehicle did you buy? Buick LeSabre Custom. It’s really a great new car. That’s definitely a well-built car — I like those too. Where is the first place you’ll take your new vehicle? Below is a customer testimonial that was sent to our Runde Buick store from the Persons family from La Farge, Wisconsin. They recently purchased a Buick LeSabre Ltd from Runde’s and they after they returned home, they wrote a letter to our owners to express their gratitude and to let everyone know about the wonderful experience they had at our dealership. To the owner of Runde Auto Group: On Thursday, March 19th at 4:30 p.m. we were near Boscobel, WI on our way to Cuba City. We were driving our Buick LeSabre and started noticing that we were having some problems. By the time we reached Platteville, we weren’t sure if we could make it to Cuba City, but decided to try and did make it. Our next problem was that at 6:30 the next morning, we were leaving for [...]
Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque recently had the opportunity to make a road trip to the 2009 Chicago Auto Show. We managed to pull up our jaws and glance at our cameras every once in awhile to snap some photos for you. We hope you enjoy viewing a few of the amazing vehicles that were there! Chevy ran an impressive show with an array of cars including the all- electrical Chevy Volt (left) and the new Equinox (right)

For anyone who hasn’t taken a close look at the Buick Lucerne, this article is for you. New technology has been a big part of vehicle purchases in the last decade, and Buick stood up to the challenge when they designed their Lucerne. How many accidents occur due to blind spots or lack of visibility? Drivers are 3 times more likely to have an accident changing lanes than they are if they stay in one lane. The engineers at Buick understood this concept, and added a solution to the Lucerne. The Side Blind Zone Alert system is set up to notify the driver of a vehicle in their blind spot. You are driving down the interstate and want to pass a slow-moving tractor (in our case here in the Midwest), and you put [...]

General Motors announced recently that it’s adding the 2009 Buick Lucerne to its E85 flex-fuel lineup. The alternative-fuel version of the Lucerne can be selected as a no-cost option and can run on gasoline or E85 or any combination of the two. This means the Lucerne thus has the distinction of becoming the first flex-fuel passenger car from Buick. The Lucerne was named after Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. I had the good fortune of spending a couple days there in the spring of 1993 and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to travel abroad. “Timeless beauty” would accurately describe the lake and the city surrounding it. It is easily one of the most scenic locations in the heart of Europe. GM said the Lucerne will be among more than [...]
