Diamon-Fusion Windshield Protective Coating

At Runde Auto Group, we’ve been offering an optional product called Diamon-Fusion windshield protection for years because it works and works very well. With the utilization of nanotechnology (the manipulation of matter on a near-atomic scale to produce new structures), Diamon-Fusion is a military grade protective coating used by glass manufacturers, car dealerships, commercial builders, and the various branches of the US military to keep glass in tip-top shape. The Diamon-Fusion coating is generally regarded as the most durable glass protection product on the market today.

When left untreated, glass is exposed to all sorts of elements and can be damaged through chipping, corrosion, and staining.  If you’ve ever looked closely at the windshield of a car that’s 10 years old or even older, you’ll normally see thousands of tiny little chips and blemishes that are the result of driving thousands of miles behind other vehicles.  You’d be surprised at how much wear & tear dirt, sand, mud, and slush can inflict on a vehicle’s windshield over time.

Glass is naturally a porous surface and chemicals (many people don’t realize that soap is a corrosive substance) can get trapped in those pores and wreak havoc on a windshield over time.  Diamon-Fusion is a spray-on protective coating that fills in those pores from the get-go creating a permanent seal so water and contaminants cannot penetrate the surface.  It transforms your everyday windshield into an highly efficient, water-repellent surface and consequently, the water beads up and rolls away quickly.  Some drivers have commented to us that the harder it rains, the better their Diamon-Fusion coated windshield performs.

And it’s doesn’t just do well with rain.  It also easily repels muddy water in the event a big truck splashes your front end with a gigantic mud puddle.  The adjacent GIF example shows how a windshield half-coated with Diamon-Fusion easily repels away a bucket full of muddy water.

Now we’re not saying the truck’s windshield definitely would’ve been spared if it had been coated with Diamon-Fusion, but there’s a real good chance that it might have.  Diamon-Fusion coated windshields have been proven to stand up to stray golf balls and even hail the size of tennis balls.  But even if your windshield was damaged by road debris or hail, the company has a built-in guarantee where they will either repair or replace it so long as it’s within the time constraints of your contract.

Diamon-Fusion Has Many Advantages

Another advantage of Diamon-Fusion is that is reduces the glare of oncoming headlights and makes driving at night less troublesome. I know on rainy nights when the blacktop is wet, it makes it doubly difficult to see clearly because you have the glare of the road combined with perpetual oncoming headlights.  If you feel like this happens to you quite frequently, then perhaps you should put some serious thought into making the nominal investment to make your night driving experiences a little safer.  From the moment it’s applied to your windshield, Diamon-Fusion provides:

  • Demonstration of rain on a Diamon-Fusion half-treated windshield

Diamon-Fusion applied to half of windshield

    Reduced glare

  • Better visibility
  • Faster reaction time
  • Safer driving experiences at night and during rain/sleet/snow
  • Up to 10 times more resistance to damage
  • Improved resistance to scratches or impacts from small projectiles
  • Up to 10 times greater water repellency

Diamon-Fusion claims that a driver can see 34% better in the rain with their product than without it.  And when you look at the cost, it’s so affordable that it just makes sense to have it applied to your vehicle.  That ends up being about $6-10 per month if you were to finance your vehicle for 60 months.

Just as many customers protect the mechanical parts on their car with a vehicle service contract, it’s important to also consider taking the same type of measures with the exterior surfaces of your vehicle.  Customers who elect to have their windshields coated with the Diamon-Fusion product are protecting the glass surfaces of their investment for years to come.   With the investment you’re considering making with your next vehicle, it’s important to consider coverage like this for the future because, let’s face it, repairs can be downright expensive.

And please keep in mind that a windshield doesn’t have to be new to benefit fully from this kind of protection.  Diamon-Fusion can be applied to both new and used vehicles.  If you’re interested in adding this affordable protection your new ride, then please contact our Finance Department at Runde Auto Group.

Cost for the Diamon-Fusion Protection Package generally ranges from $349 to $599.
