Parts Request
Please tell us about the part you would like
At Runde Auto Group, there are two basic types of vehicle part transactions that happen each and every workday. The type Runde customers are most familiar with is the retail side where customers buy parts over the counter from our Parts Specialists. Our staff is here to answer any questions customers might have regarding compatibility or fitment of the automotive parts we sell. And these parts are already discounted at menu prices to make them more affordable for necessary repairs.
Our various parts departments at our 4 locations keep extensive inventories on hand and this often allows us to fix a customer’s vehicle the same day they schedule their appointment. If for some reason we don’t have the part in stock, we can generally get it the same day or possibly the next day. Granted there are times where conditions beyond our control cause delays, but we always try to get your vehicle repaired and back on the road as quickly as possible.
Runde’s offers a wide array of parts to local retail customers including tires, brakes, batteries, ignition/door keys, key fobs, and wiper blades. We also sell different types of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) accessories for vehicles including aluminum wheels, running boards, nerf bars, bedliners, tonneau covers, chrome door handles, etc.
Some of these parts are very specialized and there are times where you’ll only be able to acquire the part you need at a dealership. One instance of this is a car or truck’s ignition key … especially in newer vehicles. In days gone by, customers would visit a parts department and tell the person at the front counter they need a new key. The worker would grab a blank key and cut it, grind it down a little and that would start the vehicle. In today’s world, a key more often than not needs to be cut with the help of a special tool that only dealerships have and then once the key has been cut (sometimes with a laser), it needs to be programmed by a certified factory technician so that it will start the vehicle.
The second type of regular daily parts transaction occurs between our Service Department and our Parts Department through internal sales. The reason why internal transactions are important is because each department, whether it be Sales, Service, Parts, or Body Shop, must stand on their own and be profitable so all documentation of costs and expenses must be accounted for and taken into consideration. If a particular department wasn’t profitable, then there’d be no reason to have it.
The best way to order a specific part from Runde’s is to pick up the phone, give us a call, have your VIN ready, as well as any helpful specifics about your vehicle. That’s going to allow our Parts Specialists to dig down and get the part that the factory specifies was originally put on your vehicle.
Customers can pick them their part orders up locally or make special arrangements to have them shipped to their location (there is currently limited availability on shipping and some requests might not be met with approval).
Here at Runde Auto Group, we are very proud of our Parts Staff. Most of our staff has been at Runde’s for quite some time as there is very little turnover here. What this means for customers is that our staff is knowledgeable, they are able to easily navigate the various software programs we use here, they understand the vehicles, and they understand the incoming customer requests. Moreover, our staff is excellent at taking care of our customers because they enjoy helping people.
Runde Auto Group serves all types of customers from people who purchase a newer vehicle every 10 years, to customers who buy or lease a new vehicle every three years, to large corporations who buy 10 to 15 new vehicles from us yearly. We sell new Chevrolet, Buick GMC, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles. And we have locations in Platteville, East Dubuque, Hazel Green, and Manchester.
Please give our parts staff a call at 866-735-5200 with any questions about part availability, costs, fitment, or compatibility.
We can quickly locate what you’re in need of and then turn around and offer to have our Service Department set up an appointment to install it for you.
