Jordan Frakes from Iowa City leaves Runde Auto Group with a Nice Car

Jordan Frakes & Lindsey Rossow from Iowa City visited the Runde used car dealership near Dubuque today to pick up Jordan’s new ride.  He was forced to find a replacement for his previous car that was totaled after someone pulled out in from of him.  Jordan and Lindsey are currently students at the University of Iowa and they kindly gave me a few minutes of their time before making the trek back to Iowa City.

What Brought you into Runde’s?    Jordan: I saw the car online at Cars.com and I liked what I saw so I called you guys up and scheduled a time to drive it and then we talked about the price for awhile.

What car was it?   Jordan: It was a 2006 Pontiac G6

Pretty nice car there.  You purchased it from Dave Smith, right?  What did you think of Dave?   Jordan: He’s a great guy and he made the deal work for me.

You’re a younger guy, how old are you?   I’m 22.

Do you go to college?  Jordan: Yes, in Iowa City.  I major in health science.

Are you from that area?  Jordan: No I’m from north central Iowa so I’m pretty far away from home.

So what made you come to Runde’s  Jordan: The price and I guess I liked the way it looked online.

Pretty sharp online … so you liked the pictures and everything.  Yep.

So if you were to rate your experience at Runde’s on a scale of 1-10, what would you give it?   Jordan: I’d say probably a 9 … I mean I had to drive a little bit to get here, but the service was good.  I was in and out pretty quick today.

So you would recommend Runde’s to a friend.  Jordan: I would.  It was great.

What about your salesman, Dave?  How would you rate him?  Jordan: I’d give him a 10 – he worked hard.  He contacted me and he kept in contact throughout the deal.

What do you plan to do with the car?  Jordan: Just using it to go to school and to go to the hospital.  I work in the hospital.

What do you do there?  Jordan: I’m a nursing assistant there.  I’m trying to get more clinical hours in right now.

Do you know what you want to do after college?  Jordan: Something in the professional medical field.  I’m not sure yet.

Are you into any sports?  Jordan: Boxing and I guess I play basketball and I also played football for awhile.  Well, to be completely honest with you I study Muay Thai.  Most people don’t know what that is so I usually just say “boxing”.  I found a guy back at home who’s a trainer for Muay Thai so I train with him for free.  He’s a nice guy.

What do you do around the area in Iowa City?  Jordan:  Work and study right now.  Lindsey:  When you’re a college student, that’s pretty much your life. Jordan:  We get to go out every once in awhile, but we stay around the area usually.

What kind of restaurants do you go to? Lindsey:  We actually eat out a lot.  I mean you’re in Iowa City so what else are you going to do.

Are there any vacation spots that you’d like to travel to after you’re finished with college?  Jordan:  I don’t know.  I haven’t really been out of Iowa to be honest with you.  I really wouldn’t mind seeing the ocean or the mountains sometime.   Lindsey:  His family is always too busy with sports and school and stuff like that.

Do you have any pets?  Jordan:  No.  We can’t have any pets in our apartment right now, but she has a dog, though. Lindsey:  Ya, I have a dog back at home — he’s a mixed breed.  He’s a good dog .. we rescued him.

Cool.  If you were to win the lottery what would you do with the money?   Jordan:  I’d pay of student loans first of all and then I don’t know, I’d try to invest it so I’d have it for later.  I’d definitely still work, though. Lindsey:  Speak for yourself (laughs) … I’m just kidding. Jordan:  I mean I like where I work at the hospital taking care of people and helping them get better so…

That’s great.   Well I didn’t want to take up too much of your time.  Was there anything you wanted to add?  Did you have any trouble finding us?

Jordan:  It was a little bit confusing finding your dealership when we drove down here. Lindsey:  I think most of that was because of Jordan’s GPS system.  It was like, “You have arrived.”  And we’re like, “No we haven’t …” (laughs).  And I guess I wasn’t a very good co-pilot either.  Sometimes I get distracted easily.
