American Idol Chat promotes the new Ford Fusion sedan

Ford Fusion sedanI noticed this commercial online on the American Idol website.  Thought it was pretty cool.  It starts out with a Ford Fusion sedan, which I must say is an awesome looking car.  It’s equipped with SYNC — the voice activated digital music system that Ford currently makes use of in cars like the ford Fusion sedan and Focus (you might recall the famous Focus commercial where one guy is trying to embarrass his friend by saying “Play Michael Bolton” into his friend’s SYNC system.)

Anyhoo – getting back to the Idol commercial … the lady in the Fusion says “Play artists American Idols” and then the commercial shows Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, and Kris Allen getting into a bit of a jam, but escaping in a Ford Mustang.  It’s a little hokey (Gokey gettin’ hokey), but that was sure a sweet-lookin’ Mustang that they rode off into the sunset with. Like I always say: If you have the means, I really recommend picking up a new Mustang.  You can check out the vid below:

It was sort of retro cool in the video how they turned into cartoon figures and they each have a unique super power that enables them to get our of trouble. It sort of reminds me of that old “Take on Me” video by the Swedish band Ah Ha from the 80’s

Last night the Idol competition was narrowed down to the final two. Danny Gokey was sent packing, but he represented the midwest admirably while he was on the show and I sincerely thought that he had a good shot at winning. He’ll head back home to Milwaukee where he’ll probably have a few gospel recording contracts waiting for him.

So now it’s down to Adam Lambert the 27-year-old from Los Angeles and Kris Allen the college student from Arkansas. They’re saying that the two are separated by 1 million votes heading into the final week. If you ask Wayne Konrardy from our Chevy store who’s going to be the next Idol, he’ll tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that it’s going to be Adam. Wayne adds, “That guy can really sing.”

There you have it … a prediction from Wayne’s mouth to your ears (… or eyes since you’re probably reading this). One thing’s for sure: Wayne would never and could never be as mean a Simon Cowell is to some of the contestants on the show. Wayne Konrardy of Runde Chevrolet is one of the nicest salespeople that you’d ever want to meet.  And for the record, he didn’t pay me to put that in here.  Anyway, we’ll have to wait until next week to find out who America’s choice will be.
