Roll Out the Red Carpet For Detroit’s Newest Star: The Camaro Coupe

Next Saturday, January 17, 2009, the first regular retail production 2010 Camaro coupe – featuring a VIN ending with 100001 — will be auctioned to the highest bidder at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Heart Association in their fight against heart disease and strokes. Last year at Barrett-Jackson, GM auctioned off the first production unit of the ZR1 Corvette which went for a cool million.

In the event you are unable to make it to Scottsdale, Arizona for the event, remember you can watch all the live action on the “SPEED” channel so be sure to check local listings for time and channel.

Regular production of Chevy’s new pony car will commence a month after the auction takes place. So if you don’t have a million in cash to spare right now, feel free to give Runde Chevrolet a call at 866-735-5200 to place your order for the 2010 Camaro coupe.

The Camaro is definitely an Americal Icon that transcends generations. The following is from another WordPress blog written by a teenager named Jessi:

“Omigosh, Omigosh, Omigosh, Omigosh, Omigosh, Omigosh !!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DADDYKINS IS SOOOOOOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!! AND AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE ORDERED A CAMARO COUPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (it’s a car. but not just A car. a cool car) YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My daddy bought a beautiful, fast, lovely CAMARO COUPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (lotz of shrieking) YAY!!! AND IT’S THE 2010 MODEL!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THEY’RE MAKING IT IN 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ISN’T THAT SO TOTALLY AWESOME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.  I usually don’t get into cars, because, well, I’m a girl. We girls tend not to care about vehicles. Personally, I do not enjoy going to car shows to just stand around ogling at a bunch of antique vehicles that were made around the time my dad was born. If you know how old he is, and you look at how old I am, you’ll find that the age difference is, well….. quite a lot.  Mav and I both (unfortunately) have old-ish dads. But whatever, I don’t care. My dad is still AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I get a vehicle, I’m going to get a truck! Yeah, baby!”  And that’s the latest buzz.
