Austin Arensdorff lives about 3-4 minutes away from our PreDriven store where he works in the Reconditioning Department. He took a little time out to do a quick interview with us and who would have thought that an epic battle was about to erupt at our reconditioning department in Hazel Green?
Austin… like Austin Powers, Austin Texas or ostentatious?
Uh, Austin Powers I guess?
Spend his money.
Grrrr baby, VERY grrrrrrr. So what do you do around Runde’s?
I buff cars and do the detail work.
Yeah baby! How long have you worked here?
Two and a half years.
Shagadellic!! What would you say is the best part about your job?
It’s flexible. That’s important to me since I go to school.
Oh smashing baby!!! So where do you go to school?
I go to Southwest Tech in Fennimore, WI for masonry.
So you work with the famous Johnny Kramer here in the Runde reconditioning department… I heard that guy was tough.
Yea, he’s pretty strong. He puts up a good fight.
Who would win in a fight – you or him?
“I would clean the FLOOR with him! He’s got nothing on me! Any time, any place Johnny, bring it!” (Please note, actual quote might be slightly, if not significantly, different than what is quoted — hence the power of censorship.)
I noticed you have a Giants cap on, you a fan?
Yea, they didn’t make it to the playoffs this year but they came close.
What kind of car do you drive?
It’s a ’95 Buick Riviera – It’s very comfortable, a big boat.
I recently saw a safety crash video comparing old “boat” cars to newer cars and it looks like the newer cars are safer even if they are smaller, I found it pretty interesting because I used to drive a ’87 Cadillac Deville and thought I was indestructible.
Interesting.
What do you like to do around the area?
I like to play football and baseball.
Do you have a favorite movie?
I like Die Hard and The Hangover.
What’s the most recent movie you saw in theaters?
GI Joe. It was pretty good.
What kind of music do you like?
Metallica and Staind.
If you were to win the lottery, what would you do with the money?
I’d put most of it away, and I’d buy a Ferrari with the rest of it.
Care to elaborate on a certain incident that happened last year at the company Christmas party?
They had a hypnotist come in and I decided to give it a try so I went up on stage and I was out like a light right away.
So you are one of those easily hypnotized people?
Yea, I guess I am.
Do you remember anything about it?
I remember a few parts… He told me I was pregnant and he asked me who the father was and I said I don’t know, and then told him to ask one of my colleagues.
I hear you did an imitation of Michael Jackson dancing?
I guess I did… but I can’t remember it at all.
So can we look forward to seeing you up on stage again this year?
Yea, I plan on going again.
Looking forward to seeing you there! Thank you for taking the time out to do the interview!
