Edmunds Ranks Chevy Aveo and Suzuki SX4 Least Expensive to Own

There was some important news announced this week regarding the Chevy Aveo and the Suzuki SX4.  Read further to find out why these two small cars are currently turning so many heads.

In several “inexpensive” vehicles you will come to find that the gas mileage is high, the cost to fix the vehicle is outrageous, or that the vehicle is not reliable. We offer several inexpensive vehicles for those on a budget and according to Edmunds.com, two of our most affordable vehicles ended up on toward the top of their top 10 list of most affordable vehicles. Edmunds determined which vehicles were actually the cheapest to own by computing an estimated total five-year cost and the cost per mile based on driving 15,000 miles per year. Here’s the two that made the list…

 

Chevy Aveo LS

Starting price: $12,685
5-year total cost: $28,360
Cost per mile: 38 cents

Chevy Aveo LS: With an updated 1.6-liter four-cylinder it now produces 107 horsepower. Fuel economy is great at 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. And it comes standard with a four-speaker audio system with an auxiliary input jack.

 

Suzuki SX4

Starting price: $13,994
5-year total cost: $28,965
Cost per mile: 39 cents

It comes standard with full-power accessories and a tilt steering wheel not to mention that the crossover packs an all-wheel-drive option which makes it the cheapest all-wheel-drive on the market. fuel economy is estimated 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway and has a 143-horsepower, 2-liter four-cylinder engine.
