The Runde Suzuki Store

Tony and Sharon Lorenz from Galena, IL came into our Suzuki store today to do a few things.   They enjoyed the atmosphere and the way they were treated so much that they just had to share it with the world! (I did, in no way, shape, or form, pay Mr. or Ms. Lorenz to say any of what we’ll mentioned below… seriously…) Read on to see how the experience here at Runde’s was for these self-proclaimed “wicked people” from the East.

What are you folks in for today?
We came in to the Suzuki store to get the oil changed on our Suzuki SX4 and ended up buying a new Suzuki Grand Vitara.

What will you be using the vehicle for?
For traveling … we travel quite a bit.

Where do you guys like to travel?
We’ve been to Branson, MO, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Arkansas.

If you could choose one place to go that you haven’t been to yet, where would you go?
Probably Pennsylvania.

Your salesperson was Al Kloft today, what did you think of him?
He’s a very nice man. Very straight and to the point, doesn’t push you around at all, no hassle. His wife was actually having trouble with the cat they have so I helped her out over the phone.

You helped out Al’s wife?
Yep, she was worried because their cat was sick so I told Al I could help her out because I’ve had experience with animals. It turns out that the cat was just having a reaction because they gave it rabies, distemper and leukemia shots all at the same time.

Do you have family?
Yes, we have two sons.

If you could rank Runde’s on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, what would you give it?
A 10, we have had no problems here.

How long have you two been together?
Twenty… some years?

Do you remember your first date?
Oh yeah, ha-ha… He was driving a ’82 Cadillac and he was having trouble getting it started so he decided to pick me up with a Limousine.

Might as well show up in style, huh? Were you impressed by him coming to get you in a Limo?
No, I wasn’t, I’m really not impressed by vehicles or anything like that. But the neighbors sure were!

Are you guys from the area?
Originally we were from 45 miles West of Chicago in St. Charles. Now we live in Galena. We are those “wicked people” from Chicago that came here.

If you’re wicked, then I’d love to live in a world filled with wicked people.

What do you like to do around the area?
We like to eat.

Me too, what is your favorite restaurant?
Houlihans, they have great food and it’s close to the Casino.

What is one invention you could not live without?
The telephone. They can take away the computers, just leave us the telephones.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
Probably build up another farm and pay off our kids’ debts.
