Are You in Love Yet with the Corvette Centennial concept?… Well?… No?

The announcement of the Corvette Centennial concept car at the Chicago Auto Show, introduced by GM, has received various opinions here at Runde. When employees were asked what their opinion was about the concept car there was emotion in the air. Some were taken back, like Al Dellabella of Runde Buick, who said “That looks like something from the 60’s with the front fender and the torpedo rear window.”

Others were shocked by the build. They call it a concept car for a reason…”

The car is modeled from the original 1959 Stingray racer and will be featured in the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which will be released on June 26th. The Corvette will be the character Sideswipe from the movie (shown below).  There is no plan of the car actually coming into production but there is a chance that the design elements used in the concept could come to fruition in the next-generation Corvettes.

Some people love it, as Lori Schoenberger of Runde Predriven said, “I would buy one… but only if it came in yellow”.  While for others, it’s just not up their alley.   Steve Sieverding of Runde Chevrolet, who commented “I don’t know… I like the models that are out right now,” we would love to hear from you on your opinion of the Corvette Centennial concept car.
