Runde Auto Group is proud to once again be a major sponsor of Run4Troops!
This point-to-point, chip-timed Boston qualifying race runs from Dyersville to Dubuque on the scenic Heritage Trail. Proceeds from Run4Troops directly support tri-state military, past, present, and future.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the event!
“This year is number 10, so there is a lot to celebrate,” said race director Connie Hodge. “Our mission is stronger than ever – We support our local military – past, present, & future.”
Over the years, they have raised over $125,000 to help military families. More than 5,000 runners have participated in the event from 44 states and nine countries!
Proceeds are donated to organizations including the Veteran’s Freedom Center, University of Dubuque ROTC, National Guard, University of Dubuque Veterans Center, American Red Cross Readiness Unit, and more.
New this year is a beer garden at the finish for participants and spectators 21 years and older.
“We will also have an after party and band, Zac Matthews from Wisconsin, at the Q Casino from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday night,” Connie said.
You can participate as an individual marathoner or as a relay team. Relay teams can be 2 to 12 members in male, female, and co-ed categories.
There are six legs to the race: 6.6 miles, 4.4 miles, 3.6 miles, 4.5 miles, 3.4 miles, and 3.7 miles. Here is the course map. The course’s crushed limestone surface is easy on the knees, and its gently sloping course with plenty of shade and gorgeous views is sure to give you a PR! It is run rain or shine.
