Runde Auto Group is proud to once again sponsor the Ralph Kluseman/Johnnie Walker and Friends Beatles tribute at Music in the Gardens!
The performance, set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, is a celebration of The Beatles with a bit of storytelling mixed in, as well as other well known songs. It includes local musicians Johnnie Walker, Mike Lieb, Denny Troy, Brian Marceau, Rick Hoffmann, and Ralph Kluseman.
“They are back by popular demand,” said Sandi Helgerson, the executive director of the arboretum. “I encourage people to come over a little early so they have parking and a place to pull up their chair.”
Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. You can also bring a picnic or wine, and there will be food available for purchase from HyVee and ice cream to purchase from The Lions Club. Both give a percentage of their profits to the Arboretum.
In the case of rain, about 100 people can fit under the pavilion. The bands will play rain or shine.
Other Music in the Gardens performances this year have included Hunter Fuerste’s American Vintage Orchestra, the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, Bob Dorr & The Blue Band, The Wave Runners, Kids from Wisconsin, and more!
Music in the Gardens has been around for more than 20 years. Average attendance this year has been 1,500 to 2,000 people per concert.
Sponsors make free admission possible, and Runde Auto Group is proud to sponsor Ralph Kluseman’s Beatles tribute at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20!
