2022 New Year’s Resolutions

With 2022 just a few days away it is time to make some New Year’s Resolutions and it is important to include some goals for your vehicle. Below you will find a list of resolutions that are easy to keep and will help keep your car’s value at its highest.

It’s time to clean

A clean vehicle is a happy vehicle!

Everyone dreads cleaning, but once you get done with the initial cleaning it becomes quicker and easier to keep your vehicle clean. You can start by getting rid of all the empty water bottles, candy wrappers, and other items that have no place
being in your vehicle.

When you have the trash cleaned it up, it is time to get out the vacuum and other cleaning supplies. Make sure to get into all the small, hard to reach places where you know all the lost chips are hiding. Wipe down the dash, center console, cup holders, and anywhere dust or a spilled drink may have landed.

There are loads of accessories you can buy to help keep your vehicle clean. You can get a small garbage can that stays in your vehicle, seat gap fillers to prevent lost items, and small bins and cargo organizer to keep everything in place. Whatever problem you may face with keeping your vehicle clean, a quick google search will help you find a solution.

Behind the wheel

Remember nobody is perfect. The next time you get cut off while driving try to avoid touching the horn and take a deep breath instead of yelling. Trying to tailgate the person is not going to fix anything and has a higher likelihood of an accident occurring.

Put the devices down! There will always be another chance to take a picture of the sky and replying to that text can definitely wait. With the snow finally arriving it is more important than ever to focus on the road and to keep your hands on the wheel.

Maintenance

Don’t assume your vehicle can go a bit longer without the proper maintenance, because that assumption could end up costing you a lot of money. That’s a pretty big reason why you should make keeping up on your car’s scheduled maintenance one of your New Year’s resolutions.  Make sure to get your oil changed as needed, it is also a good idea to get your tires rotated at the same time. You’ll want to make sure to get your air filter and brake pads looked at once a year as well.

If a light come on in your vehicle, it is making a strange noise, or you just feel like something is off make sure to get it diagnosed right away. There is nothing worse than having to get a tow or having to borrow someone’s car for what could have been a preventable situation.
