The Puls Family in front of their GMC TerrainJessica and Jacob Puls‘ 2019 GMC Terrain has the safety and tech features they love, along with a smooth ride and room for their one-year-old son Bo’s car seat. Don’t just take our word for it – here’s Jessica’s new GMC Terrain review:

This has been the perfect starter SUV for our small family.

A huge fear of mine is passing someone in their blind spot. My favorite thing about the vehicle is the safety measures including blind side alert for myself (but I also love when other cars have this feature so I know they are alerted when I am driving in their blind spot). For those times when I’m off in “la la land”, the forward collision alert and vibrating seat have come in handy.

Conveniences (but really MUST HAVES) are the heated steering wheel and heated seats. I will never have another car without these options. For those days when my back aches after work, (summer or winter) the heated seats are glorious and I swear my fingers are always cold.

Our car seat fits just right and easy for even my layman husband to install in just minutes. I can also quickly throw my nieces’/nephews’ car seats on the opposite side with just enough room for the million bags we mamas think we need.

Looks are also important to me. I told my husband I never want a soccer mom van. (NO offense to van drivers, but its not the life for me). The sleek look of the blackout edition gives the right amount of “I’m a cool mom 😎”.

COVID has made it great to get used to more cargo room for quick grocery pick ups. I can press a button to open the back hatch and easily throw the seats down or store in rear cargo space for a contactless pick up!

My child is only one years old, so I can’t give his perspective but he for sure would give it a double thumbs up. I can tell that he loves it because he instantly falls asleep when getting in the car. It is a very smooth ride and even if I nail a pothole, he is still sound asleep. Example: he slept an entire 5 hours on a road trip I daringly took alone to a lake house up north.

The only inconvenience I have found is not enough space for more friends and family. A third row would obviously be ideal with 3+ kids but for now our family is the perfect size. But (wink wink to my husband)… a third row would be a great addition to this family 😉

The affordability and reliability make it a no brainer for this mama.
