IT’S HERE! The New GMC Canyon Rolls onto Runde Lot

Runde GMC in Platteville has received the new GMC Canyon!

This mid-size truck provides power and hauling capabilities without the large size of a full-size pickup. It certainly doesn’t skimp on power – it gets 200 horsepower from a standard 2.5L I-4 and 305 horsepower from an available 3.6L V-6 and an available maximum trailering rating of 7,000 pounds!

“The new GMC Canyon is the segment’s first premium mid-size truck, delivering class-leading capabilities with the brand’s signature refinement,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing in a press release. “It’s an efficiently sized, maneuverable package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck without the size of a full-size pickup.”

It gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg highway for 2.5L 2WD models and 26 mpg for 3.6L 2WD models. It offers AutoTrac automatic four-wheel drive, which allows the driver to select manual 4WD engagement or automatic engagement.

“Not everyone needs full-size capability, but they still deserve strength and true-truck attributes that come in larger models. The Canyon will offer all the capability with confidence – and GMC’s signature refinement that complements active lifestyles,” said Aldred in a press release. “It also delivers the technology customers want with more standard features.”
