2021 Chevy Traverse Sports a New Look

Chevrolet seems to be hitting the “refresh” button on many of its vehicles lately –and the 2021 Chevy Traverse is next.

The newest version of the popular three-row SUV will feature a sculpted, bold appearance reminiscent of the new Chevy Tahoe and Suburbans.

“The new Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban has received an overwhelming positive response from consumers,” said Holt Ware, director of Chevrolet exteriors, crossovers and cars, in a press release. “The new design of the 2021 Traverse gains this new commanding appearance and presence we know Traverse owners will appreciate.”

Appearance changes include an updated front grille, re-styled front and rear fascias, and four new wheel designs.

The family-first Traverse continues its focus on safety, with six safety features now standard on all trim levels, including automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, Intellibeam auto high beams, and a following distance indicator.

“With this refreshed Traverse, Chevy will have one of the freshest SUV lineups in the market,” said Steve Majoros, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, in a press release.

Inside the Traverse, you’ll find best-in-class cargo space, updated upholstery choices, an available 8-inch display, and an available Dual SkyScape 2-panel power sunroof with a new rear power sunshade.

It will keep you connected on the road, with a charging pad and USB ports in all rows of the 2021 Chevy Traverse, as well as available wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

This is the fifth refreshed or all-new SUV in less than one year for Chevrolet. The Traverse debuted with the 2009 model year and has sold nearly 1.3 million in the United States.

The new Traverse will be available at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque and Runde Chevrolet Buick GMC in Platteville later this year.
