Heritage Days
Saturday & Sunday, July 3–4 in downtown Bellevue
Family-friendly activities including carnival rides, a Queen contest, dance, parade, petting zoo, a show by Ski Bellevue, vintage tractor, car and motorcycle displays, and fireworks. Live music both nights.

Freedom Fest
Thursday, July 1 in Terrapin Park from 4-10 p.m.
Army displays, live music, food, face painting, bounce houses. Free admission. U.S. Army Golden Knights will parachute into the park at 7 p.m.
Fourth at the Fort
Sunday, July 4 from Noon to 2 p.m.
at Apple River Fort State Historic Site
Bring your own lunch for a picnic on the Fort lawn. Try historic games, cool off with a water race or bring a squirt gun for a battle. Toasts, speeches, and a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.
