Tanner Goodwin: Runde’s Newest Salesperson

Runde Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Manchester has added a new face to its sales team: Tanner Goodwin!

Tanner, who is originally from Maquoketa, lives in Dyersville, IA.

He enjoys spending time with his three sons, Zander, Sealey, and Oliver, and his girlfriend, Ryan. He also has a 4-year-old corgi named Buddy.

“I try to spend as much of my spare time as I can with my family,” Tanner says. “On my days off I’ll try to get the motorcycle out. I also enjoy cooking.”

While he has never sold vehicles for a living, he has dabbled in buying, selling, and trading.

“I always wanted to work at a dealership, I was at a point in my life that I could take the opportunity so I went for it, thanks to my girlfriend,” he said.

He’s looking forward to learning a lot and making customers for life.

“With the industry we are in, there are constantly new things coming out to learn,” he said. “I’m excited to see what the future holds. I think Runde is a very family oriented company. So many customers come through our doors looking for the salesman they dealt with in the past. Seeing that much repeat business is a good feeling.”

A vehicle with special meaning to Tanner is his 1995 Ford F-150.

“It’s a 4×2 with a straight six and a 5 speed,” he said. “My girlfriend made me a miniature version of the truck out of a hot wheels car. It is one of my favorite possessions.”

For Tanner, his main goal is to do right by the customer.

“I want to make sure everyone I work with, whether it be customers or coworkers, know that my intentions are good,” he said. “I’m not here to be better than anyone or to make more money than the next guy. Everything goes better when you work as a team.”
