Listen to Reese Witherspoon's Book Club picks in your Buick

Buick Book Club

Are you a book lover? How about a Buick owner?

If you answered yes and yes, you’ll love this: Buick recently partnered with the media company Hello Sunshine to bring Reese Witherspoon’s popular book club “Reese’s Book Club” directly to your Buick’s infotainment screen.

The built-in app allows drivers to select from a specially curated collection of podcasts and audiobooks, all categorized by genre, at the touch of a button.

hello sunshine“We’re thrilled to partner with Buick on this exciting new venture,” said Hello Sunshine CEO Sarah Harden, in a press release. “Reese’s Book Club is driven by a powerful community who appreciate authentic, quality storytelling, and we’re excited to further expand this community with Buick.”

It is now live in the Buick Encore GX with compatible hardware, and most other newer Buick models will get the app in early 2021.

Hello Sunshine, which was founded by Witherspoon, focuses on putting women in the center of every story it creates, celebrates, and discovers. The partnership will also include Buick vehicle placements into Hello Sunshine’s slate of TV and film projects.

“Hello Sunshine shines a light on women, creating and telling stories that put women at the center, and that’s something Buick wants to be a part of,” said Kate Hrabovsky, Buick advertising and media operations manager, in a press release. “As more women are making vehicle-buying decisions, we want to be thinking creatively about how to offer more driving experiences tailored for them.”

Every month, Reese Witherspoon chooses a book that she loves with a woman at the center of the story and shares it with her readers. Past picks have included Where the Crawdads Sing, From Scratch, You Should See Me in a Crown, The Jetsetters, and more. Here’s a look at all of the book club’s picks.
