With quarantines and lock downs taking place all across the country, it can be easy to get a little bored!
Here are a few quarantine activities to keep you occupied during this uncertain time.
1. Give your vehicle a little TLC
Ford has provided these great graphics to help you disinfect your vehicle.
While you are at it, check your wipers and tires to see if they need to be replaced.
Vacuum out the car and trunk. Have kids? Pull out the car seats to clean underneath.
2. Netflix Party
Can’t get together with your friends and family to watch a movie during quarantine? Here’s a great solution: Netflix Party is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to watch the same film as your friends at the same time and chat onscreen during the movie.
Not sure what to watch? Here’s a list of 100 movies on Netflix.
3. Have a family bonfire in the backyard
Sit around a fire with your family and enjoy the spring weather. (Check out these awesome Wisconsin-made outdoor Jeep Wrangler chiminea fireplaces!) Roast marshmallows. Tell scary stories.
4. Order Takeout
Now is the time you can order takeout without an ounce of guilt – you are supporting local businesses who are relying solely on take-out orders right now! Here’s a great list from 365ink of restaurants, cafes, and bars who are providing pick-up and delivery dining options in the tri-state area.
5. Color
Coloring doesn’t have to be just for kids – it is a great way to calm your anxiety during these uncertain times. Chevrolet created these printable fun coloring book pages featuring vehicles from their line-up. Travel Dubuque also created this printable activity book of all things Dubuque.
6. Save Your Phone Photos
When’s the last time you took all those precious photos from your camera roll and saved them somewhere safe like Google Drive, iDrive, or Dropbox? Print some online from sites like SnapFish, Shutterfly, and more. Some sites, like VistaPrint and MixTiles, allow you to print them on items like coffee mugs or wall art. Get creative!
7. Get Crafty
Try to create something you’ve seen on Pinterest or Etsy. Revamp an old piece of furniture. Paint a room in your home. With plenty of time for quarantine activities, the options are endless! Check out #aworldofhearts on Facebook and join in by taping some colorful hearts in your windows. Send handwritten cards to your friends and family, and decorate the envelopes with designs or stickers.
8. Stargaze
On a clear night, head out to the backyard and look up. Try an app like SkyView, Night Sky, or Star Chart that helps you locate constellations in the night sky!
9. Clean
Now’s a good time to clean the nooks and crannies of your home that you never have time to, or simply forget to. This list points out a lot of areas that may need a little attention!
