Runde Chevrolet salesperson Mark “Flop” Fleege attended the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Sales Academy back in January!
Held in Pahrump, Nevada, the class gave Chevrolet salespeople from around the country an opportunity to learn about the new mid-engine Corvette. The two-day academy took place both in the classroom and on the track.
“We got to see the bare frame of the new Corvette right next to the frame of the old Corvette so we could compare the two,” Mark said. “It was interesting to learn how they built it and all the new features.”
One of the major highlights for Mark was getting to put the pedal to the metal in the 2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray, driving over 100 mph on a track. (video below)
“It was awesome, I can’t wait to see these vehicles here at Runde’s,” he said.
Mark also got to ride shotgun while NASCAR driver Tommy Joe Martins took the wheel and showed him how it’s done. (video below)
“I only got to 114 – he got to 120,” Mark said. ““He’s a lot better driver than I am, you can see that in the video.”
This is Mark’s second time going to the Corvette Academy. He also attended in 2013.
Mark has worked as a salesperson at Runde’s since 1987 and has sold over 10,000 vehicles (but it’s hard to know since back then deals weren’t filed in a computer!).
His customers love his laid back attitude and he is known for his jokes around the office.
