The Chevy Blazer is BACK and Dubuque Chevrolet Lovers are Excited

The Blazer is back! The first all-new Chevy Blazer has landed at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL and it is a STUNNER.

Many people in the Dubuque area remember the last generation of the Chevy S-10 Blazer.  It was such a nice-riding vehicle with a quality build.  The exterior was definitely sharp-looking and the interior had seats that were placed lower to the floor than other SUV’s from that time so it often gave owners the feel like they were driving a car.  Of course they still had the comfort of knowing that they were riding around in a fully-capable frame-on-body 4-wheel-drive vehicle and Dubuque Chevrolet owners very much appreciated that in regards to the Blazer because they knew they could navigate the hills and valleys of Dubuque without any trouble during the snow-covered winter months. 

Now the much-loved Blazer from the past has reappeared, but with a dramatically different look this time around and Dubuque Chevy-lovers are flocking to Runde’s to get a first-hand glimpse of this sharp new four-door Blazer. This new five-passenger Blazer is larger than the Equinox and smaller than the Traverse.

There are hints of the Camaro sprinkled throughout the vehicle —  from vehicle’s stance, its squinty headlights, and even the dash.

Offered in models ranging from the sporty RS to the upper-level Premier, the vehicle will offer unique design elements on each model to appeal to a variety of drivers.

It is offered with an Ecotec 2.5L four-cylinder engine and a 3.6L V6 engine, both paired with Chevrolet’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

With the 3.6L V6 engine, max trailering is estimated to be 4,500 pounds.

Available on 3.6L engine models, Hitch Guidance aids in aligning the Blazer’s hitch to a trailer by showing the center line on the rear vision camera. Another available option is Hitch View, which offers a top-down view to help hitch a trailer without a second person to assist.

On the inside the new Blazer features a range of convenience and comfort features. The vehicle offers an electronic-locking glove box for extra storage security. It is locked using the vehicle’s Valet Mode, accessible through the Settings menu.

Its automatic heated steering wheel and automatic heated/ventilated front seats work with Remote Start and/or automatic climate controls to automatically adjust temperature.

Before you get in, you can use the key fob to activate comfort-open windows, which allows all windows to roll down to let heat escape before occupants enter the vehicle.

Wireless charging and six USB ports are available, and so is a panoramic dual-pane power sunroof. The vehicle offers cargo space of up to 64.2 cubic feet with the second row seats folded flat.
