Runde Auto Group is a proud sponsor of College for Kids and Middle University, July 9-12 at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville!
Started in 1982, the program offers regional students the opportunity to take hands-on classes created just for them at the UW-Platteville campus.
Last year the program had a record number of students in attendance — almost 200 — and this year’s registrations are on pace to exceed that.
“College for Kids and Middle University is a well-known program at UW-Platteville that continues to serve kindergarten through seventh grade students,” said Nicole Osborn, Education and Training Coordinator at the Office of Continuing Education at UW Platteville. “2018 is no different and projected to set records with our new and exciting session options for students that explore engineering, coding, robotics, health/wellness, arts, and more!”
This year, there are new sessions with a STEM focus, including coding, robotics, and arts. Other classes cover topics like photography, gardening, chemistry, rockets, jewelry making, dinosaurs, bugs, woodworking, and more.
College for Kids is for students completing kindergarten through fourth grade, and Middle University is for students completing fifth through seventh grade.
The four-day event runs from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 9-12, 2018.
The cost is $99 for a four-day registration or $60 for two-day registration (offered to grades 3-7 only). Included with registration are class materials and a t-shirt (if you register by June 23).
There are scholarships available for students who attend Platteville School District and have a financial need. For scholarship information, call 608-342-1314 or email continuing@uwplatt.edu.
