Two Vehicles in One Day for Loyal Runde Customers

Mike and Anita P. of Lena, IL, said they weren’t sure if they were crazy when they left Runde Chevrolet on Tuesday.

“We’ve never bought two vehicles on the same day,” Mike said.

Anita drove off the lot in a red 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab and Mike drove away in a black 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. Their salesperson was Dave Frazier.

“He’s the reason we’re here,” Anita said.

Mike agreed, “He’s just a good guy. We don’t really call anybody else but Dave.”

Mike, Anita, and their family members have bought many vehicles from Runde’s. For Mike and Anita, it’s been mostly trucks.

“It’s been 18 years since we had a car,” Anita said. “We’ve had trucks for a while.”

They still have a 1999 Tahoe that they don’t plan on ever getting rid of. It has more than 180,000 miles.

“Chevy’s are good trucks,” Mike said. “The original reason I stopped here (in 2005) was they had more new trucks in one place than I had ever seen.”

Mike and Anita own Beach’s Supper Club in Lena, and also have a wide variety of side jobs and activities that keep them busy.

“It’s not very often we aren’t working,” Mike said.

The Cruze was a perfect fit for one of Mike’s side jobs because he puts on a lot of miles, so he wanted great gas mileage. The truck will be Anita’s daily driver since she makes longer trips and feels safer in a truck.
