Luke Bryan Re-Imagines Rugged Suburban

Luke Bryan's Chevy SuburbanLuke Bryan re-imagined a Chevy Suburban that would work well for his hunting, fishing, outdoor lifestyle, and Chevrolet brought it to life.

The concept vehicle, which was recently unveiled at the SEMA Auto Show, blends the utility of a truck with the versatility of an SUV.

“This concept is all about maximizing the Suburban’s space and utility for a family that truly enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities,” said Todd Parker, Chevrolet Design director, in a press release. “There’s plenty of room for all their gear, along with added amenities that make the journey more enjoyable.”

The vehicle is lifted and rides on modified 22-inch wheels. It has a roof-mounted equipment carrier with a fishing rod holder, and a swing-out liftgate, and custom spare tire mount.

The concept Chevy Suburban is powered by a direct-injected 5.3L V8 engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-foot of torque. It has a locking rear differential for traction in the outdoors and an 8,000-pound trailering rating.

“Chevy has been part of our family and a part of our work life on the farm for as long as I can remember,” Bryan said. “If you were a Bryan, you drove a Chevy – and I’m a longtime Suburban owner. This partnership is a natural fit for me and this unique Suburban represents everything my family and I want for our outdoor adventures.”
