Join us in welcoming our newest member of the Runde Chevrolet sales staff, Hannah Rupp! Hannah, who is from the Potosi, WI area, works at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque. Learn a little bit more about her and the new vehicles she sells!
How long have you been in the sales business? Since I was very little. I helped my grandparents in their woodworking business. He taught me a lot about sales.
What made you interested in selling new vehicles? When I was buying my first car, someone told me women don’t do well in the car business. I’m one of those people that if you tell me I can’t do something I say, “watch me”….so here I am!
What is your favorite part of your job? Helping people get into a new or new-to-them vehicle. The excitement and happiness that it brings to customers makes me love what I do.
What advice would you give someone who is looking for new vehicles? Do your research and trust your sales advisor. It’s not like the old days…we really are here to help guide you through the process and make sure you are happy with your purchase!
Why did you want to work at Runde Auto Group? The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Also the longevity of the staff said a lot. Not often do you find a place that has sales people that have been there 30, 20, or even 10 years.
Have you always had an interest in cars? Always. My dad taught me everything backwards. First, how to fix them. Then, how to drive a stick shift. Then he would let me drive an automatic. One of my life goals is own classic cars and rebuild Eleanor from “Gone in 60 Seconds.” Truck and tractor pulls take up a good amount of my weekends in the summer.
What is your favorite vehicle? Why? Oh gosh I can’t just pick one. Classics definitely have a special place in my heart, though. Top of the list would definitely be a Ford Mustang. Then a Chevrolet Camaro.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Spending time with my family, mostly. If I can’t do that I will binge-watch HGTV or Food Network. Every other Sunday I look forward to spending the day with my boyfriend, Robbie, and my cat, Shadow.
Tell us a random fact about yourself. When I was younger I would compete in tomahawk and knife throwing, as well as bow and arrow.
Tell us about your family. My dad, Nick, is a long distance trucker for Hirschbach trucking. My mom, Mary, drives for dealerships in the area doing dealer trades. They have been married for almost 30 years so I look up to them for relationship goals. I have two sisters, Julie and Kristen. Both are older than me. Julie has two boys, Ronin and Brantley. Kristen has a little girl, Felicia. The car industry runs in the family. My grandparents, Arthur and Eleanor Heim, helped run the car auction in Cuba City back in the day.
How has the first week or so been here at Runde’s? Great! It was an easy transition and everyone is so easy-going that it makes the hours fly by.
Is there anything you would like to add? Come see me at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque…we’ve got a lot of new vehicles!
