There’s a new minivan in town and you can see it at Runde Chrysler in Manchester, IA. Delaware County residents can view the new Chrysler Pacifica in Manchester today!
The new Chrysler Pacifica, which replaces the Town & Country in the Chrysler line-up, features more than 40 “firsts” for the minivan segment.
“The all-new Chrysler Pacifica is truly a no-compromises minivan, giving customers everything they need or want,” said Timothy Kuniskis of FCA – North America, in a press release. “It was thoughtfully designed and engineered to provide unsurpassed levels of comfort, convenience, technology and functionality, making it the perfect combination for modern families.”
Kids will love taking trips in the Pacifica thanks to UConnect Theater. Two 10-inch monitors are mounted to the back of the front seats for DVD entertainment and built-in games like Sudoku, tic-tac-toe, and Solitaire. It also has separate USB, HDMI, and AUX ports.
Another feature of Uconnect Theater is an app that shows kids how far away they are from the destination. No more hearing “Are we there yet?” from the backseat.
After a long trip, clean up will be a breeze with an optional built-in 50-watt vacuum system with 11.4 feet of retractable hose.
The Pacifica is all about making your life easier. Its power sliding doors open with the push of a button. It has eight USB ports, two 12-volt outlets, and one three-prong 120-volt outlet, keeping all of your devices fully charged.
The second row of seats lean and slide forward with a child seat in place, which is a solution to what the Pacifica team found to be a complaint of minivan and SUV owners: how difficult it was to access the third row with a child seat strapped in the second.
It is the first minivan to have a third-row sunroof and the Pacifica has the largest interior volume in the minivan segment. The Pacifica earned a 5-star rating from Car and Driver (https://www.caranddriver.com/chrysler/pacifica).
The Pacifica Hybrid, which goes on sale later this year, will be Chrysler’s first plug-in hybrid. It offers up to 80 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) in city driving.
According to Automotive News, Fiat Chrysler and Google plan to develop self-driving prototypes based on the Pacifica!
