The Dubuque area recently came together to make a HUGE donation of water to Flint!
Resources Unite in Dubuque, a non-profit organization, facilitated a water drive for the Michigan city,
which is in a public health state of emergency due to its contaminated water supply.
Over the last month, cases and pallets of water came pouring in from local businesses, individuals, and organizations. They hoped to collect 1,000 cases, but ended up with more than 19,000! That is 459,648 bottles!
Runde Chevrolet near Dubuque was proud to help the cause by providing our Runde Community Support Truck while Resources Unite in Dubuque collected cases of water throughout the tri-state area.
Resources Unite and 17 volunteers made the trip to Flint over the weekend to deliver 12 semis of water. We were happy to provide
them with three brand new Chevy Silverados to make the trip and to use as delivery vehicles.
Job well done Resources Unite in Dubuque. And really, congrats to the entire Tri-State area! It’s amazing what can be done
when everyone works together.
“Thank you all again everyone for making this happen,” Jasper said in a Facebook post. “This has been a complete team effort. Every single person we met over the last two days was incredibly grateful for the support.”
