Runde Chevrolet is a sizable Chevy dealer serving Galena, IL. Runde’s sells a lot of vehicles to customers from Galena, IL and the surrounding area year after year. However, it’s not very often that we sell a new Corvette so there is always a buzz throughout the dealership when a local customers comes in to sign for and drive away in their new Vette.
Cletus and Candy Saam, of Galena, IL are no strangers to Runde Chevrolet as they’ve bought cars and trucks here for many years. They’ve practically owned every model that Chevrolet produces over the years. The only one I can think of that they haven’t bought from Runde’s is a Chevy Traverse. Basically, they’ve come to realize what a lot of locals know: that Runde’s is the #1 Chevy dealer in the Tri-State area. Just last week the Saam’s picked up their third Corvette from Runde’s, but this one was different in that it was the first Stingray they’ve owned.
The torch red Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe sparkled in the sun outside the dealership as the couple, clad in their Corvette T-shirts, agreed to be interviewed about their love a Chevrolet for the Runde Auto Group blog.
“He’s been a Chevy person since he started driving,” Candy said about Cletus. “His cars are more than cars, they are his babies. He’s picky about them and he takes care of them. I get a lot of exercise because we park really far away from everything.”
Their salesperson was Dave Frazier at Runde Chevrolet. Dave has been an important member of the sales staff of this Chevy dealer serving Galena, IL since 2006 and he knows a lot about Chevy vehicles … and a lot about the Corvette Stingray in particular.
“He wasn’t high pressure,” Candy said. “High pressure doesn’t go well with me.”
And it doesn’t go well with us here at Runde’s either as high pressure has never been a part of our sales process.
Candy added the vehicles they buy get plenty of road time.
“We drive them,” Candy said. “They don’t sit. There’s no point in having a car if it’s going to sit in a garage where no one sees it or drives it.”
Thanks keeping Runde’s in mind and happy driving, Cletus and Candy!
