Meet Runde’s own, Shane Buss – Loves Life and His Customers

Runde Auto Group is proud to welcome Shane Buss to the Runde’s sales staff.  He may be relatively young, but he definitely ain’t no spring chicken when it comes to the car business.  Shane Buss has worked in the automotive industry for nearly half of his life. His exuberance is surpassed only by his quest for excellence. He’s energized, passionate and ready for anything that comes his way and will do everything to give you the experience you dreamed of when it comes to buying a car and maybe having a few laughs.

How long have you worked in the automotive industry?
Ever since I was 17, so 15 years now. I started out managing a used car lot down in Potosi, WI.

Are you originally from the Platteville area?
I’m a Burton boy – it’s between Potosi and Cassville, WI.

What do you enjoy most about working in the automotive industry?
Just meeting people and helping people out. There are a lot of good people out there.

What are your past times / hobbies?
This is going to be a long response… I travel the world hunting & fishing, racing and riding atv’s, snowmobiles, dirt bikes… Anything we can get our hands on. I fly ultra-light planes, been flying for 6 or 7 years now. Crafts powered parachutes are one of the coolest things in the world.

About everything there is to do, we’ll do ‘em. We play hockey, skate and play this and that. Anything that gets us active and outdoors – we do what we gotta do. But, of course, the coolest thing to do in my past time is to hang out with my two little girls.

Are you married? If so, what’s your wife’s name and how long have you been together?
Yep. Been together for 4 years with my beautiful wife Gina Buss.

Do you remember your first date with your wife?
Yeah, took her to a big ol’ beer party.

What are your daughters’ names and what do they do?
My two daughters are Summer-Marie – She’s 9 and Willow-May is three. Precious stuff. They like to play and they go to school. Summer goes hunting with her daddy. I try to get the girls out. Willow is in pre-school and when we went to go see Santa she got on and she yelled out “I go to preschool” she’s pretty proud of it.

Any Pets?
We have a dog – Trigger Buss he’s a Weimaraner. He’s a maniac.

Does Shane Buss have a favorite hang-out spot in the Tri-State area?
Usually I hang at saloons with some buddies. We like to go to the Annex in Platteville, otherwise there’s Yoder’s bar in Potosi.

If you were a vehicle, what vehicle would you want to be and why?
Maybe a Ford Mustang GT. I just like ‘Stang GT’s, they are cool rides. I don’t know if that’s what I’d be if I were a vehicle, that’s just what I dig.

What’s your favorite restaurant?
I’ve got to say Texas Roadhouse – that’s pretty groovy. I like everything there.

Favorite sports team?
I’m not into sports really.

Favorite dessert?
Birthday cake. Otherwise I don’t really get into it.

Favorite movie?
I don’t watch much. If I had to say something I’d have to just say the hunting channel. Although if I had to say an actual movie, one that made me laugh was The Hangover.

Favorite actor/actress?
Vin Diesel and Mark Wahlberg are pretty cool.

Favorite musician?
Don’t listen to any music really. Haven’t flipped on a tune in forever.

What’s your most memorable experience in a car or truck (pg rated with no cursing)?
We’d better leave this one out.

Do you consider the glass half full or half empty?
Always half-full.

Where’s the first place you will travel to when you win the lottery?
I already drive most places I want, if I wanted to go I’d just do it. I probably travel 2 or 3 months out of the year. Maybe Alaska but I want to do that without winning the lottery.

What would you like to say to all of your potential customers wondering if they should come to Runde GMC in Platteville?
Certainly come and get a vehicle at Runde’s. Great deals and great people to get them from… especially Shane Buss of Burton Wisconsin!

Welcome to the Runde family, Mr. Shane Buss!
