What Kind of Mileage does the Chevy Cruze Eco Actually Get?

Cruze Eco emblem on silver carIf you’ve ever wondered how many miles per gallon the Chevy Cruze Eco gets, well then you’re in the right place as we’re attempting to try to answer that question today.  Over the past few years, the EPA has made changes to the way they test the fuel efficiency of vehicles.  They’ve tried to make their testing more accurate by putting the cars and trucks on “real world” road ways instead of the traditional track testing that they used to do.

Here at Runde’s, our sales associates field questions daily from customers who want to know what type of mileage all types of vehicles get … not just the Cruze Eco.   To be completely honest, it always comes down to what type of driving the customer does, where they live, and how heavy their foot is.    A customer in the Bloomington-Normal flat lands will undoubtedly get different mileage compared to a customer driving the same car daily through Dubuque’s Mississippi Mountains.

A 16 year old who occasionally uses his 40 year old dad’s Impala will probably get different mileage than his dad does in that car.  And a 80 year old who is driving the same model Impala will probably achieve still a different mileage compared to the 40 year old dad and the teenager.  It’s always an excellent idea to research fuel efficiency before buying a vehicle, but just keep in mind that your gas mileage is ultimately relative to who you are and where you live.

One of the most interesting fuel-sippers to hit the roads recently is definitely the Chevy Cruze Eco.

The EPA seems to have under estimated the Eco. I’ve heard from a few other blog that ti can get anywhere from 50-60mpg under the right conditions, like 55mph on cruise. That’s really not too different from many people’s normal commute on the highway. That’s not too bad given it’s not even a hybrid car.

I was originally reading about the eco from another blog, and it’s always nice to read other reviews as well. Thanks for the info.
