“Um … I’d like to think about it”
I think we’ve all gone through it. The feeling of uncertainty when opening or using something expensive for the first time. You know that as soon as you open that package or start using it that it’s yours. If you drop it and break it at that point, you already bought it … it’s yours. I remember my heart pounding last month when I opened and mounted a new T.V. that I spent over a $1,000 on. I like my TV and I don’t want to part with it for a long time. But what if 30 days after I got it, I decided that it didn’t meet my needs and I wanted to return it.
We have many people in and out of Runde’s everyday — buying cars and driving away in them. Do they like them? Are they satisfied? Do the vehicles always meet the needs of the customers who purchase them? We genuinely hope so. No one wants a dissatisfied customer. We know that our customers spend a great deal of thought — as they should — before making a vehicle purchase. What if they didn’t have to worry? What if you could dive straight into something new and not have to worry about being stuck with it after you find that it’s not quite what you wanted? Well GM is making it possible for you to feel a little better about buying a new vehicle with the GM 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee program.
The program will offer a refund to those who find their ride non-satisfactory within 60 days of the vehicle’s purchase. Now you don’t have to worry if you were on edge deciding to buy a new vehicle or not. There are, of course, rules and regulations behind the program. Let me go over a few of the more important ones for you:
1. The vehicle that you get must be a NEW vehicle, pre-owned vehicles do not apply.
2. The Chevy/Buick (GM brands we carry) vehicle must be purchased between September 14, 2009 and November 30, 2009, the customer may return his/her vehicle to the original selling/participating dealer after 30 days of ownership from the delivery date.
3. You can choose either to have the option to return the vehicle OR you can give up the ability to return the vehicle for $500.00
4. The vehicle cannot exceed 4,000 miles or be in any accidents from the delivery date. If the vehicle exceeds 4,000 miles or does get into an accident, the vehicle is no longer eligible for the program.
5. The following is from www.GM.com:
“The customer will receive the purchase price of the vehicle itself after any rebates, discounts, plus applicable sales taxes that were actually paid. The customer’s buyback price does not include anything else. For example, the buyback price does not include any other taxes, licensing, titling or registration fees, insurance, accessories, dealer fees, extended warranties, finance charges, negative equity or any other expenses incurred by the customer at the time of taking delivery of the new vehicle.”
6. In addition to the fully completed Request for Benefit form, which will be provided by the administrator, the customer will need to provide:
- A copy of the Bill of Sale, Retail Installment Sale Contract or other transaction documentation;
- A copy of the customer’s Driver’s License;
- A copy of the Registration showing the vehicle is registered in the customer’s name;
- Proof of Insurance verifying the eligible Vehicle was insured since the delivery date; and
- Any other documentation GM or the
