Joining the team is Eric Schmitt. Going through some intense training I thought Eric could take a quick break to do an interview so we could get to know him better.
Where are you from Eric?
I’m from Dubuque.
Have you lived there all of your life?
Yep. Pretty much.
What was the best part of your first day here?
Just kind of shadowing some of the other sales staff to see how things work. I actually bought several cars here before so it’s interesting working as part of the team now.
What do you like to do around the area?
Umm… nothing really.
Are you married?
Yes, I am married.
So… what do you like to do with your wife?
Go out to dinner… usually to supper clubs.
What made Eric Schmitt come to Runde’s in the first place?
I always wanted to sell cars and I’ve dealt with you guys before, sounded like a good plan.
What’s your favorite movie?
The Fugitive.
What do you think you’ll like most about working here?
The customers and the vehicles.
What do you promise your future customers?
Honesty. I promise to be fair.
Is Eric Schmitt a Chevy fan?
Yes. Always have been.
What vehicles do you have?
I have an Impala SS and a Pontiac Vibe.
Were you saddened to hear about the Pontiac brand being discontinued?
I was, actually. I loved the G8.
How do you like the people and the environment here at Runde’s?
It’s great. Everyone is laid back and it’s really comfortable here.
I heard you lived Madison for awhile. What made you come here to sell cars instead of Madison?
Honestly I wanted to sell cars, but I would never sell a car in any other place other than here. Because I know that here we do not pressure people into buying something they aren’t sure about.
What’s one invention you can’t live without?
Cell phone.
If you were to win the lottery what would you do with the money?
I’d buy cars. My dream car is a ZR-1 Corvette.
Welcome to the team, it’s been great getting to know you.
Thank you, looking forward to my time here.
