AMillionThanks.org

a million thanks logoThis is something really neat that Runde Auto Group wants to share with you. Shauna Fleming has created a website that helps put normal US residents in touch with military troops. Her unique website is called AMillionThanks.org, and what she is doing is nothing short of amazing.

Shauna is a high school student from Lutheran High School in Orange, California, and she started a national campaign to collect and distribute one million letters of appreciation and emails of thanks to our current and past military service members.  She was originally challenged by her father, Michael, to get her school to do something positive for the military men and women serving our country. Her efforts have grown exponentially as she has reached a national audience via the internet with AMillionThanks.org and she has done a world of good in the few short years that her site has been up and running.

 

AMillionThanks.org is a year-round campaign to show our U.S. Military Men and Women, past and present, our appreciation for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our country through our letters, emails, cards, prayers, and thoughts.

 

Check out the site and drop your letter off at any Runde Auto Group location. With Valentine’s Day coming up, it would be a great time to send out a few Valentines for our troops to thank them for their service to our country.  And if you really can’t seem to find the right words or are having trouble writing a letter to someone you don’t really know, the perhaps have your kids draw a picture or paint a painting that can be sent directly to a soldier overseas.  Something like that would be sure to brighten anyone’s day.
